About Us

Who We Are

Partnership for Sustainable Development (PSD Nepal) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 2002. We empower vulnerable communities in Nepal – from rural families and school children to women’s cooperatives – by connecting them with international donors, grants, and resources. As a member of the NGO Federation of Nepal and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council, PSD bridges the gap between opportunities and those who need them most.

History of PSD Nepal

Founded in 2002, PSD Nepal was created to bridge the gap between the “haves” and the “have-nots.” What started as a small initiative has grown into a nationwide effort supporting education, environment, and empowerment. Over the past two decades, PSD has implemented dozens of projects in rural districts, reaching thousands of children, families, and women’s groups.

How We Work

PSD Nepal’s founding belief is that all programs should involve local people in their own environment to ensure a participatory and sustainable approach. Projects are designed and implemented in close cooperation with schools, women’s groups, and community committees, so that activities are carried out in the right location and manner. Registered with the District Administration Office in Kathmandu and the Social Welfare Council (SWC), PSD also works alongside local partners in program districts, linking them with international donors, volunteers, and expertise. Through this community-driven model, PSD has built a proven track record and is recognized by government bodies, collaborative NGOs, global INGOs, and civil society as a reliable and effective organization.
